2006 Awards

Causes and Manifestations of CdLS

Four leading CdLS researchers are working on projects under this primary study:

Dale Dorsett, PhD, Saint Louis University School of Medicine, St. Louis, MO.

Award: $12,500

This funding is given in support of ongoing research into the molecular genetic basis of Cornelia de Lange Syndrome, and continued study of the function of Nipped-B in the fruit fly.

Arthur Lander, MD, PhD, University of California, Irvine, CA.

Award: $12,500

This funding is given in support of on-going research into the molecular genetic basis of Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and further development of a CdLS mouse model.

Antonie Kline, MD, Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Baltimore, MD.

Award: $12,500

This funding is given in support of continuing CdLS clinics for adolescents and adults and further investigation of the clinical manifestations of Cornelia de Lange Syndrome in this population.

Ian Krantz, MD, The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA.

Award: $12,500

This funding is given in support of ongoing research into the molecular genetic basis and human aspects of Cornelia de Lange Syndrome and development of a web-based clinical and molecular database available to all investigators and clinicians.
